1. The service and your agreement
These terms explain your use of Feather, listed in stores as Quit Smoking: Feather, from the provider named above. Purchases also follow the terms Apple or Google shows you. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and the choices you have.
Feather offers personal tracking, educational reading, progress estimates, games, reminders and SOS exercises to support your efforts to stop smoking. After onboarding, a paywall controls access to the main paid features. Basic SOS is free. Paid access depends on the offer and store purchase shown to you. Features may vary by platform, language and release.
The launch app has no Feather accounts, cloud diary, account-based syncing, AI coach or audio features. You can add text and photos to personal reasons. Recording and playback are disabled, including playback of earlier attachments. Earlier recordings may remain on your device. Removing an attachment and saving, deleting its reason, or choosing Delete data starts removal, with the limits explained in Privacy section 3.
2. Health information and progress estimates
Feather provides general education and self-help tools. It cannot diagnose a condition, prescribe treatment, provide emergency care or replace a qualified clinician. Speak to a qualified professional about health concerns, stopping smoking during pregnancy, medicines or nicotine-replacement products. In an emergency, contact your local emergency service.
Savings, smoking totals, risk illustrations and recovery timelines use your entries and general assumptions. They are estimates: they cannot measure your health or predict your individual outcome. Milestones, game scores, reminders and completed Journey steps are not medical assessments. We cannot guarantee that Feather will help you stop smoking.
3. Trials, prices and subscriptions
The launch offer is an annual subscription. A three-day trial is available only if the store confirms you are eligible. In Israel, the annual price is ₪149.90 per year. The store offer shows prices for other currencies and territories. Before you buy, the store confirmation must show availability, eligibility, final price, currency, tax treatment, billing period and the charge after any trial.
An auto-renewing subscription moves to paid billing after its trial and renews for further periods unless you cancel under the store's rules. Check the amount and renewal period before confirming. Apple or Google charges the store account you use and handles your payment details. You do not need a Feather account.
Manage or cancel the subscription through that same store account:
- Apple: cancel a trial at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Google Play: cancel before the trial expires to avoid the first charge.
Follow the deadline shown for your offer. Deleting Feather or its data does not cancel billing. Reminders may arrive late or fail to arrive, so check the deadline in your store's subscription settings.
After cancellation, access ends according to the offer and store rules. Trial access may end sooner than access for a paid period. Price and subscription changes must follow store rules and any legal notice or consent requirements.
If paid access is missing, use Restore purchases with the original store account. Restore checks your right to paid access; it does not recover diary entries, media or settings. Buying on one platform does not establish access on another. Offline access may rely on a saved access status and later verification, and is not guaranteed indefinitely. If a valid purchase is not recognised, use the contact page.
For refunds, follow the purchase store's process and applicable consumer law. Contact us if you need help finding the right route. These terms preserve mandatory refund, withdrawal and other consumer rights. They do not promise a lifetime subscription or an additional discounted offer.
4. Your entries, device and reminders
You decide what to record and share. You keep the rights to your entries and media; using Feather does not transfer ownership to us. Only use material you have the right to use. Do not infringe another person's rights, disrupt the app or seek unauthorised access. You can decline permission for an optional feature, although that feature may then be unavailable.
Your diary and app-owned media stay on your device. Restarting a quit attempt may keep earlier history. Feather does not supply an encrypted vault or its own cloud backup. Device backup and migration settings may copy data, but restoration is not guaranteed. Keep an independent copy of anything you need. Check images before sharing; we cannot recall copies received by another person or app.
Delete data resets local app state and attempts to remove referenced app-owned media. It does not securely wipe all files or backups, erase provider or store records, or cancel billing. The Privacy Policy explains the separate limits of local deletion and provider requests. Uninstalling, clearing browser storage, changing devices or a storage failure may cause you to lose local records.
Reminders depend on permission, your settings, the device and its operating system. Lock-screen alerts may reveal smoking-related information. Do not rely on them for medication, emergencies or trial cancellation. Basic SOS offers self-help exercises; it is not monitored and cannot contact emergency responders.
5. App content and fair use
Rights in Feather's software, design and supplied content belong to us and the relevant licensors. You may use the app for personal purposes, subject to those rights and any applicable store licence. You may share your achievements with the provided tools. Other copying, distribution or commercial reuse needs permission unless the law or an applicable open-source licence allows it. Third-party and open-source rights stay with their holders.
Report problems through the contact page, including only information you want to send. Support does not provide clinical or emergency care. Unless separately agreed, we do not promise a particular response time.
6. Availability, changes and legal rights
We aim to keep Feather usable, but bugs, device limits and interruptions can occur. We may update or withdraw features, subject to what you purchased and your legal rights. For material changes to a paid service, we will provide the notice and remedies required by law. Updated terms will have a new date and any required notice or acceptance process.
You can stop using Feather whenever you choose. Manage any subscription separately through its store.
These terms do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or reduce mandatory consumer protections.
For a complaint or dispute, use the contact page. You remain free to contact a regulator or use courts and other remedies available under applicable law. These terms do not require a special arbitration process or waive mandatory protections where you live.
